Модель: Nations around the world are required to measure their progress towards key biodiversity goals. One important example of this, the Convention on Biological Diversity's 2010 target, is soon approaching. The target set is to significantly reduce the rate of biodiversity loss by the year 2010. It is well established that loss of biodiversity especially in tropical countries is mainly due to destruction and degradation of the habitat by human activities Study reveals that the diversity and species composition of Achnakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve forest is highly diverse. This also indicates that the climatic condition of Chhattisgarh region would have been favorable for Shorea robusta and its associates in the climax formation over a long successional process and have resulted in a highly diverse forest of Shorea. Therefore, the management plan for this forest should focus on Shorea robusta and its associates in order to safeguard the overall diversity of this area. The analysis should helpful and useful to professionals in forestry, wildlife, ecology and environmental sciences or anyone else who may be considering utilizing online communities for Biodiversity Conservation. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.
Модель: Biological diversity is the term applied to the variety of genes, species and ecosystems found on the earth. It embraces all life forms from plant and animal life to microorganisms and water, land and air in which they live and interact. It provides an abundant and essential supply of indispensable goods and services. The current decline in the world's biodiversity is largely the result of human activities, resulting in habitat destruction, over harvesting, pollution and the inappropriate introduction of foreign plants and animals. The most serious aspect of the loss of biological diversity is the extinction of species communities can be degraded and reduced in area, but as long as all of the original species survive, the communities still have the potential to recover.Extensive field work done by Dr. N.A.PATEL in a largest city of Gujarat state, Ahmedabad, located on Sabarmati river. Study was done to workout plant diversity of the Ahmedabad city keeping Vaidya (1967) work as the starting point to record the shift and the change in the species over the last four decades.1015 plant species belonging to 580 genera spread over 135 families are noticed. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.
Модель: Biodiversity is the variety and variability of plants and animal species on our planet. In the biodiversity rich state like Himachal Pradesh many development activities have been started which resulted, the loss of biodiversity. Therefore, present effort is made to know the impact of cement factory, ACC Ltd., Barmana, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, Inida. Total 217 species of vascular plants belonging to 68 families and 160 genera were recorded from the area indicating richness of the area in term of flora. Since, there is no base line information on the flora of the region affected by the factory to compare the present situation of flora with the earlier. Present study is focused to gather information about the Cement Factory, its impact on local inhabitants; to understand the concept of biodiversity in reference to the study area and; to inventories and analyze the flora of the region. The scientific information generated in this monograph is the first insight in the present status of vegetation of the area and help in developing adequate strategies and action plan for the management of the areas affected by developmental activities worldwide. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.

The research purpose was to find out opportunities and options to develop sustainable CFM at the biosphere reserve of Luki. Research was conducted at biosphere reserve of Luki, southwest of DR- Congo. The increases of human activities threaten the biosphere reserve. The research revealed number of options and opportunities to establish sustainable CFM. The research uses qualitative research methods, both primary and secondary data were collected during field work in 2010. The results showed that, sustainable CFM cannot be established in an environment where no effective policy instruments or law enforcement in place. So far government has not been able to put measures to resolve tenure rights. This has remained a difficult issue and challenge for the government in finding immediate solution. The research recommends the need to develop a sustainable CFM at the biosphere reserve of Luki. Clarification of forest code is needed by stating what really government wants to do with its vast forest resources, especially in regard to forest dependent people. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.
Модель: Ecotourism a sustainable form of land use contributes to environmental conservation as well as providing accrued socio-economic benefits to the indigenous people through the non-consumptive uses and indirect values of the natural biological resources. It is widely recognized as a tool for biodiversity conservation and can play an important role in managing the site for biodiversity conservation. The Sonadia Island has significant tourism potential as there are many features of interest at the site including globally significant species. The distribution of species varied in different sites of the study area. In Sonadia Island a total of 53 different plant species (both sand dune and mangrove ecosystems) were found. Study shows that potentiality of mangrove areas for ecotourism is high, especially for the sites which are accessible and located close to the existing resorts and hotels in Coz’s Bazar. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.

Coastal ecosystems such as mangroves, coral reefs, backwaters, estuaries, lagoons and sea grass beds, besides performing crucial coastal protection functions, provide rich breeding and spawning grounds for fishes. 24618 species of known fishes belonging to 4258 genera in 482 families under 57 orders have been listed by Nelson (1994) from world waters. Of this, 131 species of Elasmobranches belonging to 67 genera in 28 families under 10 orders and 2415 species of Teleosts belonging to 902 genera in 226 families under 30 orders have been listed by Alfred et al (1998) from Indian waters. This book describes the taxonomic features of 256 species of fin fishes belonging to 141 genera, 84 families and 19 orders with colour photographs collected from the coastal water of Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve, East coast of India. The taxonomic key presented in this book make the user to identify the specimen very easiy. Many new distributional records of fishes in Indian Ocean also documented here. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.

Модель: Osmanabad is the southernmost district Maharashtra State situated between 17° 35' and 18° 40' north latitude and 75° 16' and 76° 40' east longitude. Palynology is one of the most widely used research tools in Quaternary studies (Edwards 1983). As Osmanabad district having very less forest cover, researchers have shown little interest in botanical studies in this region. Very few workers like Naik (1979, 1998) worked on floristic studies, but nobody worked on pollen morphological studies for this region. In the last century, Brown (1958), Frisch (1953) and Hooker (1897) have contributed to our knowledge of pollen and spore morphology. In the present century, rapid progress has been made in the study and several thousands of pollen and spores have been described and illustrated (Davis 1963). Study of pollen diversity has received an enormous attention since last few decades due to its allergenic properties. Identification of allergenic pollen grains is necessary from the plants those are utilized as ethnomedicinal, ethnovegetables, etc. This was the sincere attempt to note diversity of pollens in relation to taxonomy, allergenic properties and its economical importance in the region. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.
Модель: The present book deals with the floristic diversity and vegetation composition of the functional groups in the southern part of the Egyptian Eastern Desert were investigated through four transects (3 crossing the Eastern Desert and one along the Red Sea). These transects were (1) Qena-Safaga road, (2) Idfu-Marsa Alam road, (3) Aswan-Kharit-Gimal and (4) Red Sea Coastal Plain. A total of 94 plant species belonging to 33 families were recorded. Shrubs represented the largest functional group, while perennial herbs represented the smallest one. The application of cluster analysis technique has provided usefully tool in classifying stands into many vegetation groups coinciding with ecological variations. The soil-vegetation relationships were assessed by both DCA and CCA. Studying the functional groups (trees, shrubs, perennial herbs and annual herbs) responses to soil variables showed spatial changes that may affect functional groups. (CCA) used to elucidate the responses of the studied FGs to their environment. The species diversity indices of the FGs showed significant correlations with the soil gradients. There was a correlation between the coarse sand and trees diversity. - посмотрите bhavana dixit rashmi agarwal and lalji singh floristic diversity of achanakmar amarkantak biosphere reserve на сайте интернет-магазина.
